Where We Show Up
Every project is a community that needed support — and a community of diverse believers who answered the call.

On May 6, 2026, a 2-alarm fire devastated the historic Trinity United Church of Christ — a congregation that has served the Dorseyville community for 175 years. The blaze destroyed the roof above the sanctuary and prayer chapel, and heavily damaged the steeple.
Pastor David Mears was inside preparing for Sunday's service when he discovered flames in the attic. Firefighters battled the blaze but the structural damage was severe. The congregation responded with faith: "Trinity is a church that will respond. We are Trinity strong."
Religion United is calling on people of all faiths across Pittsburgh to stand with this congregation as they begin the long road to rebuilding.

Southwestern Pennsylvania
Stand For All Pittsburgh mobilizes the community of southwestern Pennsylvania to prevent, identify, and address bias and hate incidents — creating safety, inclusion, and belonging for all.
The organization offers a platform where people learn about one another across cultural, linguistic, neighborhood, and demographic differences — building the relationships and trust needed to bridge divides and respond to discrimination.
Their work includes community events, reporting mechanisms for hate incidents, trainings, and direct support for anyone facing discrimination or violence. This is precisely the kind of organization Religion United was built to stand behind.
Why Religion United supports this: Stand For All Pittsburgh works across every faith and background to protect communities from hate. Their mission and ours are one and the same — different beliefs, shared humanity, united in action.
